WAAST Prayer Guide – May 9, 2021

ASSEMBLIES OF GOD GRADUATE SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY

Students are arriving for the Master of Arts session, which begins Monday, May 10 and runs through July 28. In 2020, no classes could be held due to COVID-19 restrictions, and we praise God that it is possible to travel and meet this year. Nearly 100 students are expected, from 15 nations, and professors from 11 nations will be teaching. First-year students will complete seven core courses, while second-year students will take six courses in their area of concentration (Cross-Cultural Ministry, Christian Education, Counseling), and complete a related practicum. Some students have just two courses to finish, then will start the serious work of writing their Master’s thesis. Students are given a year to complete this project with a mentor.

Please pray

  • for strength for students and professors as they learn from one another in these intense eight-day courses;
  • for funds for students; many have faced great economic challenges this past year and need miracles of provision;
  • for students beginning or continuing work on their thesis projects; may their research and study help them greatly in their ministry;
  • that the Spirit’s presence would be evident in each class session, dorm room, chapel service, and activity.

Look What the Lord Has Done!

  • The Lord has graciously supplied us with experienced, qualified professors for each area of studies and opened the door for nearly all to travel despite continuing restrictions in many places.
  • Two of the professors, who are not able to travel, will nonetheless be “in” the classroom via Zoom. We thank God for a stable connection—pray it continues for these two courses!
