Spiritual Emphasis – Second Semester 2016

From August 30 to September 1 WAAST students and faculty enjoyed special spiritual emphasis services in the chapel. Dr. Jerry Ireland brought three messages pertinent to pastors and Christian workers: Places of the Heart: Overcoming Temptation (considering where and how we can be tempted), The Three Lights of Ministry (considering the seasons of our ministry), and The Hope of Heaven and the Habits of the Church (considering how our view of heaven should determine our actions on earth).  These messages challenged us greatly and are presented below.

Dr. Ireland and his wife, Paula, have served as missionaries since 2006, based first in Zambia, then in the U.S. working with Assemblies of God World Missions–USA’s AG Care office. He is currently the director of AG Care and based in Lomé, Togo.
