Ten years ago, students asked that a small church be started on campus. Services were held in French and English to accommodate all students. Neighbors asked if they could visit, and the word spread of a bilingual church on the campus. Today WAAST International Chapel holds two services each Sunday morning, the first in French and English and the second in French. Students and some 1,500 people from about 25 nations attend. The chapel has planted one church in Lomé and will soon begin another outside of town.
